How to get MDT6 Solids into straight AutoCAD

How to get MDT6 Solids into straight AutoCAD

(OP)
What is the best way to get Mechanical Desktop 6 Solids into Straight AutoCAD 2002.  I have about 30 parts in one MDT6 file that I would like to bring into just regular AutoCAD.

I have done this before, but it was a long time ago and I forget very easily.

Let me say thank you for your help in advance.

RE: How to get MDT6 Solids into straight AutoCAD

Dear DemarEngr,
You should explode MDT models in MDT environment to convert them into AutoCAD 3D solids. Keep in mind you should use the conventional EXPLODE command and not X shortcut or the new XPLODE command.

Try saving it as an "Acis(sat)" file, then import the models into Autocad. Maybe this way none of the features of the model will be loss.
