Welding

(OP)
Could anyone recomend a good websites to get info on diffrent types of welding methods, and the strength of the finished weld?

RE: Welding

This is a very broad topic to cover in this type of forum. For starters with web sites, I have found the ones below very useful for general and specific information for various welding processes, consumables and filler metals;

http://www.weldreality.com/default2.htm
http://www.lincolnelectric.ca/knowledge/articles/l...
http://www.esabna.com/EUWeb/OXY_handbook/589oxy16_...

My suggestion would be to review or obtain a copy of the ASME Metals Handbook, Desk Edition. This is an excellent reference book that provides general technical information on various joining methods. It is comprehensive and well written.

RE: Welding

Correction;
The Metals Handbook is published by ASM not ASME.
