Dry Ice

Dry Ice

(OP)
Does any one know the fundamental design of a dry ice maker, or a supplier of them?

RE: Dry Ice

We had a little mini one that would make hockey puck sized "pucks" of dry ice from bottled gas. I think it had something to do with rapidly expanding the gas and raising the pressure while the temp dropped.

RE: Dry Ice

(OP)
That is exactly what I am looking for, any idea who made it?

RE: Dry Ice

Look at any large laboratory supply catalogue.

RE: Dry Ice

It was at least 30years old, possibly more, the gaskets were rope.
