Thds using a helix

Thds using a helix

Thds using a helix

(OP)
I am trying to creat a thread using a helix in UG NX2.
I first created the helix. I then created a sketch of one of the threads.  I then did a projection of the helix and tied my sketch to the projection.  I then perform a sweep of the sketch.  When reviewing my sweep, I notice the thread keeps laying down on me.  It looks as though the thread sketch is revolving in a circle around the helix line.  Clear as mud?  What am I doing wrong?  Is there an easier way to accomplish this?
The whole point of this is to apply a thread on the ID of a flange.

RE: Thds using a helix

Use Rib function instead of sweep.
