Adding relations in sketch / copy command

Adding relations in sketch / copy command

Adding relations in sketch / copy command

(OP)
I am using the sketch command "move / copy entities"
If I make multiple copies of an entity or two at a set distance, is there a way to make these distances, etc. become relations? If I make 20 copies of something, it's time consuming to add relations manually to all of the entities.
It appears it lets you do it when moving entities, (which I don't see the reason) but not copying. Wonder why that is.
Are there any tricks to doing this?

RE: Adding relations in sketch / copy command

Instead of using the Move or Copy entities command, try using the Linear sketch step & repeat command.
That will give a constant pattern of the sketch element(s) & you will only need to add dimensions or constraints to the original & first copy to "fix" the pattern.

RE: Adding relations in sketch / copy command

And what's nice about Linear sketch step & repeat command is you can remove certain ones during the process.
