Visual Basic with Autocad

Visual Basic with Autocad

Visual Basic with Autocad

(OP)
What is a good book for someone with a good understanding of Visual Basic who would like to program within Autocad?  The goal is to incorporate information from lines and objects in Autocad and input that information into visual basic.  Visual basic would process this information and export back into Autocad using a system of lines and objects.

Thanks,

Mark

RE: Visual Basic with Autocad

I've been down this road and found that the Help manual that ships with ACAD has the most useful examples

RE: Visual Basic with Autocad

I made some programming for AutoCAD and used the AutoCAD Help. The AutoCAD API is pretty well organized and easy to use.

RE: Visual Basic with Autocad

That's right - the AutoCAD online help documentation is the best possible source of information.

RE: Visual Basic with Autocad

I purchased "Mastering AutoCAD VBA" by Marion Cottingham and have found it to be extremely helpful.
