Calibrate Bentley Microstation DGN files with GPS coordinates ?

Calibrate Bentley Microstation DGN files with GPS coordinates ?

Calibrate Bentley Microstation DGN files with GPS coordinates ?

(OP)
Hi,

In our company we are using Bentley Microstation (DGN files) for our technical maps. Is it possible to calibrate these maps with GPS coordinates (LAT/LON) in an existing programm and use it as an moving map application ? For normal map formats (like TIF, GIF, BMP, JPG, ...) we use OziExplorer (www.oziexplorer.com).

I have tried to translate the DGN files in different file formats (like TIF, GIF, BMP, JPG, ...) but the resolution is not good anymore (when zooming in) and files are getting to big (several 100Mb).

Any help is very welcome.

Thanks,

Wim

RE: Calibrate Bentley Microstation DGN files with GPS coordinates ?

Bentley has one program GeoCoordinator which runs on MicroStation and will carry out the geo-referencing as you want. It can also convert your map to different systems and will show the lat/long coordinates.
