Paste ACAD Sketch
Paste ACAD Sketch
(OP)
Hi,
I copy AutoCad sketch and paste it into the SW2005 part open sketch.
Sketch gets far from origins.
I need zoom to fit, constrain all, and move sketch to origins, dimension and add relations.
In SW2004 sketch pasted close to origins. It was OK.
Could you give me an advice how to paste ACAD sketch in the SW2005 part sketch close to origins?
Thanks.

RE: Paste ACAD Sketch
I tried importing a fairly complex Autocad sketch. Unfortunately, the guy who made the sketch a few years ago was pretty sloppy and left lines untrimmed, curves not tangent, and lines overlaying lines. SW will not accept any of this. In the end, it was easier to just redraw the whole thing.

RE: Paste ACAD Sketch
Acad Assembly Drawing is too big to make a small SW part.
It is much better to take a sketch from ACad and make part.
Thanks.
