INTERPOLATION IN STEADY STATE THERMAL ANALYSIS

INTERPOLATION IN STEADY STATE THERMAL ANALYSIS

INTERPOLATION IN STEADY STATE THERMAL ANALYSIS

(OP)
Hi Everyone,

If, I run a steady state thermal analysis with loading condition as nodal temperature at specific points. Then will ansys calculate temperatures of other nodal points by LINEAR INTERPOLATION.
If yes, then is there a way to make ANSYS calculate nodal temperatures by CUBIC OR BIHARMONIC INTERPOLATION.

Note: The number of nodal temperatures to be calculated in the model are more than 1000.

RE: INTERPOLATION IN STEADY STATE THERMAL ANALYSIS

No. ANSYS calculates the steady state temperatures due to something called the finite element method, which for thermal analysis is a relatively complex form of nodal averaging.
