BOM baloon for BULK

BOM baloon for BULK

BOM baloon for BULK

(OP)
I try to make BOM baloon for BULK.part in my drawing (Wildfire 1 and 2 the same problem)
I did the procedure 1.make a table
                    2.make a Repeat region
and now if I select Bul.part and press right mouse buton I have option "create BOM baloon". I press that option and there is a message " Select a Parental View" .Then I select Main wiew in my drawing witch I presume its a Parental View. And then Nothing happend I dont have  baloon for my BULK.part.

Does anybody know the solution.
Thanks

RE: BOM baloon for BULK

The problem with Bulk Items is that there is no geometry, so you cant attach a leader to it.

I suggest you add blank parts/assemblies and add the BoM leaders to them (create a datum point or something similar that has no vloume of mass...).

RE: BOM baloon for BULK

Usualy you'll use bulk items for paint, primer and stuff like that. You will generate an index in your BOM but not a balloon. As Steve said, you cannot attach a balloon to a part with no geometry.

Follow Steve's sugestion.
