Drawing Format Edit

How do I make a format so that it pulls the user name, date, filename straight from the computer?  As opposed to putting notes in the drawing everytime?

Thanks

RE: Drawing Format Edit

UKidiot,

First you would need to assign these model parameters within your parts and assemblies.  It's best to use start parts so the important parameters are already created.  The assign those same parameters within your drawing formats then each time you create a drawing the important infomation like drawing number, date, created by, material, finish, revision and so on are already their.  So you can drive it with what values you assign it in the part or assembly.  That's the basics.

Best Regards,

Heckler

Is there a tutorial anywhere that I can get to see the easiest way to create start parts and edit parameters? Because I have used parameters at all I just know what they are.
