Concrete beam programs
Concrete beam programs
(OP)
My current concrete beam/ concrete structures program is slowly becoming obsolete. Has anyone found one worth looking into?

Actually I have, but as long as one doesn't rely entirely on the software for his/her designs. He/she should be responsible enough to review the output of any programs. After all, what program is bug-free?
But all in all, I still think that staad is a good program to invest on since it can be used to analze and design a wide range of structures. But of course, it is too much if his only concern is to design concrete beams.
RE: Concrete beam programs
Can anyone tell me where I can find the disscussion about Structural Design Software? Thanks,
Kevin

Sorry for the long response time. "Modern Steel Construction" has a review of structural software every year. I can't remember which month it comes out but you might visit AISC's website (www.aisc.com) to see if they have online archives.

Try www.nceplus.com which has a search engine that can pull out companies who specialise in the software you require.
