Insulator pollution test

(OP)
Hi,

I´m working in the subject of insulator pollution and I need to built a chamber fog for artificial pollution test.  I want to look for the worse humidity and temperature condition before the flashover at diferent pollution level but may high voltage transformer does not have the power necesary to carry out my project.  I'm thinking do it measuring the leakage current and I need information, articles or some experience about it.

Thanks a lot.

RE: Insulator pollution test

You can contact the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa:
http://www.ee.sun.ac.za/
The guy who was always in charge was Dr. Koos Holtzhausen, but he is now retired. You can also ask for the contact details of Dr. Wallace Vosloo from Eskom. (Local electricity supplier in South Africa) He did a lot of studies with the EE-department re insulator pollution.

Regards

Ralph
