Locating Level nozzles on horizontal Drum.

(OP)
I have a horizontal drum with liquid inlet on the left end on the shell. Outlet with V breaker is on the right to the bottom. There are 2 level gauge nozzle on the shell, 2 level transmitter nozzles on the shells. Are there any guidelines for locating those nozzles? I guess they need to be on the left hand side as much possible as outlet region will have turbulence.

Let me know if you there are any rules of thumb for locating these nozzles.
