Any one have experience in using either of these programming packages? Other than pricing, what are the pros and cons? Our system is a 984 hot standby system. We currently use DOS programming package.

RE: Modicon Proworx32 versus Fastrak Softworks PLC Workshop for Modicon 32

I have both of these programming packages. The first Proworx32 software that I used had a bad habit of freezing and shutting down. I recieved the latest version of it that was supposed to have all of the bugs worked out. But when I am online with the PLC and perform a search it still freezes some times.
The FasTrak plc workshop seems to be the smoothest and easiest to use, for me at least. I use it on my Modicons and on my Siemens. With virtually the same windows layout it makes it easier for the techs to go from one plc to the other.
