reverberant sound to the room

(OP)
Im using a computer program to size attenuators for a HVAC system. Im on the section which looks for room data on reverbant sound corrections. The question is, what is the reverberant sound to the room? the program is looking for a percentage%. What is this and what does it mean?

RE: reverberant sound to the room

Does the program have a manual or on-line help?  All required inputs should be defined in the documentation.  If not, write a nasty letter to the company that produces the software.

RE: reverberant sound to the room

Usually the question is...is the room live, dead or average or sometimes ..what is the reverb time in seconds.

I would guess that an 'average room' is 50% and live rooms are 100%. A dead room (well carpeted, curtains etc or possibly even an anechoic chamber would be 0%.

Look in the manual.
