Drawing from flattened sheet metal part?

Drawing from flattened sheet metal part?

Drawing from flattened sheet metal part?

(OP)
Hi! I have find it impossible to make flat pattern of sheet metal part, and after that dimension it. I have here one part created from circle and rectangle. I flattened it created drawing, but now it seems there is no way to dimension it?! SW says that: "the selected entity could not be converted into a line or circular arc." Any solutions to solve problem?

RE: Drawing from flattened sheet metal part?

If you can't Dimension it manually then it's because it's not a true line or arc (Ellipse) there is nothing you can do, but you can try and make a normal too view in your part and place that view into the drawing.

See Orienation in the help on how to create a new view in your part.
