Photoworks problem

Photoworks problem

(OP)
When I run SW I get the following message:
----
Photoworks : Warning

Failed to find the data directory containing Photoworks sample images.

Check Photoworks and Solidworks are correctly installed.

I have re-installed 3 times and I still get this message.

Please help.

RE: Photoworks problem

Did you install with anti-virus turned off?

RE: Photoworks problem

You could try installing the install cd and searching for the files on the cd through explorer.

RE: Photoworks problem

Hey Jeff,

I am currenlty running into the same problem, did you ever find a solution to this?

Thanks

Greg

RE: Photoworks problem

Perhaps purging the registry of everything related to SW on the next reinstall attempt might help?

RE: Photoworks problem

Scott posted some FAQs in case you need to perform a reinstall.  I'm considering doing so myself, since my original installation of 2005 was from the downloads.  (I now have the discs.)  The FAQs include deleting the proper registry entries before reinstallation.
