Power Cables

(OP)
Hello everybody,

I would like you to provide some references (books, papers, catalogs, web sites) about IEC power cable nomenclature.

What is the meaning of 1x 185, 2x 350 and NYY, NYZC?
Is there any way of matching IEC with AWG cables?

We need to know: the meaning of this "code", impedance and ampacity for them

I thank you in advance

RE: Power Cables

1x185 = 1 core each 185 sqmm
2x350 = 2 core each 350 sqmm

for conversion: 127 sqmm = 250kcmil

NYY: plastic-sheathed cable
NYZC: Y stands for plastic (PVC), C stands for concentric copper conductor, but I don't know what Z means.

try the web.
