Australian Sanitary O-ring design?

Australian Sanitary O-ring design?

Australian Sanitary O-ring design?

(OP)
I have heard about an o-ring groove design in which the ID of the oring is exposed to the ID of sealed vessel and the groove is circular.  This is apparently done to facilitate cleaning.  Does anyone know where I might get dimensions, specs and/or further information on these food-grade o-ring designs?
 Thanks..

RE: Australian Sanitary O-ring design?

John,

There is not a standard out there that I know of, but I do a lot of design work for chemical and pharmaceutical industries.  Are you currently using a standard o-ring (dash number) and what is the durometer?  With this information, I can dimension your groove.

Tom
