HT and LT systems
HT and LT systems
(OP)
Silly question once again...
This is the first time I have come across the terms "HT" and "LT" with respect to power system components. These terms were used by an electrical engineer from India...HT motor, LT cable, etc.
What do they mean, and how are they applied? I have seen the terms used for mechanical items (bolts, etc) as High and low tensile, but how does that apply to electrical systems?
Regards,

RE: HT and LT systems
H.T. means 'High Tension' (high voltage) i.e. 1000V and above.
