Does anyone know of any difficulty in welding commercially pure Ti with 3/2.5 Ti?

RE: Welding Titanium

Phil,
You might try the International Titanium Association (ITA). They have many publications on titanium welding. (303) 443-7515

RE: Welding Titanium

There are some great titanium links at www.icrank.com. Check the knowledge center in the materials area and the vendors page in the raw material area.

RE: Welding Titanium

I have welded Titanium, I've also designed gass shields to do this without ox. the material. This is the key, get some argon on the back of the piece. What are you welding anyway? I worked in an FAA repair station when we did this, the piece was .125 thick and 36" dia.
