I'm looking for the impact of different cored wire compositions on inclusion content/morphology during ladle treatment.  We're currently using Cal-Sil, and I'm wondering about aluminum calcium wire, or possibly magnesium wire.  Google search was fruitless, only cal-sil info.

This is an area where I am also trying to obtain more information.  I just purchased the new Making, Shaping, and Treating of Steel (11th Edition) volumes for Steelmaking and Casting, which I hope will discuss this subject in sufficient detail.  They are available from AIST by using the following link:
