Custom views in Part/assembly files

Custom views in Part/assembly files

(OP)
I would like to know if there is a way to create custom/named views in part/assemblies (not drawings). I am aware that named views exist in drawings. But I am looking to create custom views in part/assembly files. For example, one can view parts/assemblies in different ways by using orientation feature (front, back, right, left, isometric etc). I am wondering if there is a way to create a view of my own (one that best shows the features I want to show) and once I have created it, I can go to that view just like I would see front, back or left view.

Thanks for all those who read this post.

RE: Custom views in Part/assembly files

Read the Help files under View, Orientation

from (the City of) Barrie, Ontario.

I tried sniffing Coke once, but the ice cubes got stuck in my nose

RE: Custom views in Part/assembly files

Click Spacebar while in your Part or assembly. That brings up the Orientation that CBL pointed out above. Click the first telescope and add your new view(s).
