I have been requested to quote for the supply and installation of PVC pipe for domestic supply replacing GI pipes.  What would be easy source for PVC pipes and fitting, this being a new concerpt being implimented I would not what any mistakes so I would love some further tips on installation and possible disatvages in the all process.  Any specific PVC pipe what possioble posioning would result if the wrong one were used.  Any tricking coneections to look out for etc.

Some PVC has additives, e.g. softener like different
phtalates, etc. which can contaminate the water.

You may want to check out the website for IPEX, a manufacturer in Canada for information

The American Water Works Association has a specification which covers PVC pipe for domestic service.  Make sure the pipe is C-905 compliant.
