Magnetek Info

I am trying to find some details on a Magnetek CIMR-PCU23P7 so I can cross it to another brand.  It is a 230VAC 3HP drive or soft start rated at 17.5 amps.  I need to know if it is a V/Hz, Vector or soft start so I can cross it to some other brand.  I have not had much luck at yaskawa.com.  Anyone got an old catalog laying around?

Hummmmm......I have found another website that says this number belongs to a Saftronics 5HP DC drive, 230V.  Does this makes sense to anyone?

RE: Magnetek Info

No, it is a Yaskawa P7 drive that used to be sold by Saftronics, but Yaskawa ended that relationship some time ago. Interesting that now they claim no knowledge of the product, it is theirs and the P7 in the part number is a dead giveaway. Sounds like poor customer service if you ask me, they should know better and try to cross you to their own version of the same thing. I guess they thought you just wanted support so they dumped you by playing ignorant. Might be a good time for you to switch brands all together.

It was just a standard V/Hz drive, maybe had some expanded communicatuions capabilities, but if you were not using them it would not matter. Try the Motortronics ME-2 or TECO FM-50 series drives. Inexpensive, relaiable and about the same size as the P7.
