Weld Fixture Inspection

Weld Fixture Inspection

Weld Fixture Inspection

(OP)
Hello Everyone,

I have a question which pertain to Welding Fixture Inspection. I am currently working for a small company
which supply bent tube assy's which consists of:
1. A bent tube. (per our customer drawing which defines
   the X, Y & Z coordinates).
2. Flanges on both ends of tube which are oriented
and positioned per the customer drawing reqmts.
3. A flexible corrugated bellows located between the
   flanges.
However I have the task of creating the weld fixture 3D
model for the company which is reviewed for any improvements
or otherwise. I also create all the detail component drawings, after the components are mfr'd I would assemble
all components and forward the fixture to the Quality Dept
with a final assy drawing. The problem I see is that the
inspection data of the fixture is not compared with the
customer drawing reqmts dimensionally (end product).
The fixture is only being inspected in and of itself and
and not being related back to the assy we are supplying.

Thanks
PPN
