RE: 2005 & PDF

No problems observed so far.  What is the issue you are having?

RE: 2005 & PDF

There is one problem I just found with saving to a PDF.

This might be file specific, but you might be experiencing this too.

If you have Color display mode untoggled, then you might see your titleblock lines print out EXTREMLLLLY thick. If you toggle this option then the thick lines go away and the PDF looks fine.

If this isn't your issue please elborate on what you are seeing?

RE: 2005 & PDF

Actually I was having that problem as well. but the problem I was asking about is not creating a PDF, it's when I actually print from Adobe to our plotter. Our most common sized drawing is ANSI D, which is a 22" x 34" sheet of paper. Our plotter has a roll which is 22" wide. I need to print the drawing rotated and the plotter will cut the roll after 34". But for some reason I cant print a rotated drawing from SolidWorks. I create a PDF and print it from there. It used to work fine with when creating a PDF from SolidWorks 2004 but now that I use 2005 the PDF file will not print properly to the plotter. I've even tried printing to the plotter straight from SolidWorks and that will not work either. It could be our plotter but I have the same problem printing to our smaller printers as well.

RE: 2005 & PDF

You need to update your driver then. When you print from SW. It's not SW's job to rotate the print for it to be printed it's the drivers job. Yes it might have worked fine in SW04 but now your using SW05 and the driver will probably need updated. This works the same for Video Card drivers. Your driver might have worked fine in SW04 but now with 05 you will need to update those too.

I'm seeing an issue like this, with my video card Quadro 1100 FX. So I know it's driver revision time once again for everyone.
