Problems decimal places in sketches

Problems decimal places in sketches

Problems decimal places in sketches

(OP)
Hi guys/gals. There is a reoccurring issue with Solidworks that I'm experiencing. Sometimes when I'm in sketch and place a smart dimension the number of decimal places goes out to eight places, even though the default setting is three places. The rest of the model remains unchanged at three decimal places. I can go back to dimension properties, and reset the decimal places back to three places. I was wondering whether any had this particular issue in Solidworks?

RE: Problems decimal places in sketches

The only time I see the 8 decimal places is when I'm inserting the dimension. Once I type in the correct dimension (Whether it be 8 or not) I click OK. Then the final dimension snaps to my 4 Decimal placement that I have set up in the Document properties.

Maybe you should try doing a Repair - See the FAQ section on How to...
