2- methylbutanal Parameters for Antoine equation

2- methylbutanal Parameters for Antoine equation

(OP)
Folks,
Does anyone knows the values of A, B, C parameters for 2-Methylbutal? or where to find them?

Cheers

RE: 2- methylbutanal Parameters for Antoine equation

I couldn't find the Antoine constants. However, from the Celanese MSDS one can see that the vapor pressure at 20 deg C is about 5 kPa, and its BP at 101.3 kPa is ~92 deg C.
The data for pentanal is very similar. What could be the error if one assumes the same vapor pressure ?

The CRC Handbook gives for pentanal the following VP data,

deg C        kPa

25           4.58
50          15.1
75          40.4
100         92.5
125        188

RE: 2- methylbutanal Parameters for Antoine equation

Dear 7604

Using the boiling point and Marrero & Gani property prediction to genererate pseudo-data I estimated the constants to:

Model: Psat(bar) = 10^[A - B/(T(K) +C)]

A = 4.2950236336E+000
B = 1.3220367966E+003
C = -5.5900317428E+001

Best regards

Peter
