Crowning of bucket elevator top/drive pulley.

Crowning of bucket elevator top/drive pulley.

(OP)
I need to replace top drive pulley on vertical bucket elevator. Belt = 96mx850mm st2000 belt transporting fly ash @ 120tph.
Current pulley flat face with diamond lagging. Can anyone assist with recommendations regarding crowning of pulley to improve tracking?

RE: Crowning of bucket elevator top/drive pulley.

I am suprised that you have a bucket elevator without crowning on the head pulley.
My Continental reference book suggests that with steel cord belts the maximum camber should be 2mm (top to edge dimension) and the camber should be an arc.
I suggest you discuss this with your supplier of elevator belts.
