earthquake safety shutoff valve

(OP)
Dear Sirs,
We are going to develope valves actuated by earthquake. Sensing part may send signal to valve electrically or mechanically.

Do you know any helpful articles, books, web sites about this subject. We are open to collobration with other companies in this project.

RE: earthquake safety shutoff valve

I think that such development has been done. There are several different types of valves in the market that operate shut off due to vibration or sudden increase of flow.
We were involved in the development in 1989 and dropped out the race.

There are already many valve companys that offer product to satisfy this need, it is already a very cost driven market.

Have a look at the BVAMA or VMA web sites.
