Automatic Axis?

Automatic Axis?

Automatic Axis?

(OP)
Can SW 2004 create an AXIS automatically when one creates a Circular Extrusion?

Thanks!

RE: Automatic Axis?

Yup.

View>Temporary Axes

Then you can select and use them.

RE: Automatic Axis?

fyi ...I noticed that AXIS is misspelled in SW help. It shows AXES. But the text within the help is AXIS.

RE: Automatic Axis?

Yup, that's why I typed "axes" and not "axis"... I love SW that much.

RE: Automatic Axis?

plural vs singular form.

RE: Automatic Axis?

Thanks pdybeck, but it is confusing if a new user is looking up AXIS.

RE: Automatic Axis?

I agree, the help is often weird for finding help.  Its kind of like searching our ERP system here - you have to know the language (tomatoe tomato) in order to search, so its real difficult for new users to search (especially when coming from another CAD package with different terminology).  You almost need a built in thesaurus.

RE: Automatic Axis?

Don't get me started on ERP queries.  In our system, just to find a hydraulic fitting, you have to search for:

"fitting"
"fitting,"
"fitting-"

and then variations of the above.

"fit"
"fitg"
"fit'g"
"fttg"

You get the point.

RE: Automatic Axis?

ERP systems were created by the devil

RE: Automatic Axis?

If I want to see more than one axis then axes is right

RE: Automatic Axis?

Why not a google search in the help?  It could at least provide another search possibility.  "Axis" or did you mean "Axes".
