Help with smart fasteners

(OP)
I am having some trouble with smart fasteners (SW 2004.sp2.1).  I have to sets of holes on either side of a cover.  I select the face of one side and select insert SF's.  Everything is good.  It puts one screw for each hole and assumes the screw goes all the way through to the other side.  I then split the fastener so that it will fill both sets of holes (the two sets of 4 holes are aligned).  This works and I end up with two separate fasteners in the property window.  However, these holes are countersunk, and my newly made fasteners from the split end up mating in upside down.  Now, I looked in the help and it said you can flip it by RMB and select flip.  "Flip" is not an option, only "change fastener type", "delete", and "properties".  For some reason the option is not there.  Anyone experience this or can help?

Thanks,
Brandon
