Section Arrows

Section Arrows

Section Arrows

(OP)
Can one lock the text associated with the Section arrows so that when you move the arrows the letter (A) moves also, instead of moving them independently?

RE: Section Arrows

nofear,

The best way to move section arrows around is to click on the section line and then edit it.  This moves both the arrow and the letters.

I had not tried moving the section line around by itself, although I have moved the letters.

RE: Section Arrows

I think nofear wants to stretch or shorten the Arrow portion, not the actual section line. The text does not move with the arrows in that case. I thought you could set the text location (relative to the arrow) in SW at one time, but I may be getting confused with Acad or Accugraph or SolidDesigner or ME10 or ....
Maybe I'm just confused ... period.

RE: Section Arrows

I don't think is possible. Would be a good enhancement request.

RE: Section Arrows

Nofear,

Right click on the section line and select edit sketch.  The section line reverts to the line you drew when creating the section.  That line can be constrained and dimensioned to place it and lock it exactly where you want.  The labels will be placed in thier default positione after updateing.
