Please help: how to get stress-free deformed geometry in new analysis?

(OP)
Hello,

I want to do an analysis in two stages. In the 1st stage, a load is applied and therefore the object is stressed and deformed.

In the 2nd stage, I want to apply another load to the deformed geometry (stress free) obtained in the 1st stage. How can do that? Suppose this should be simple in ABAQUS but I do not know.

Thanks.

Thanks.

But, the anneal command is used in Explicit while i am using ABAQUS/standard and the analyses are all static analyses, not dynanic analyses.

Any idea?
