Hole wizard problem

Hole wizard problem

Hole wizard problem

(OP)
SW 2004 Sp4.1
Has anybody else have a problem with the Heli-coil drill and tap information in the hole wizard?  When I change the length of the heli-coil, the tap depth changes, but the tap drill depth doesn't change.  This results in a hole tapped deeper than it is drilled.  Does 2004 still use the ansiinch.mdb for this data?  I looked at the tables for the heli-coils and they appear to be identical regardless of the length of the heli-coil, including the thread length.  Is my particular installation hosed or is this a real bug?

RE: Hole wizard problem

timelord,
This is a major bug in hole wizard and has been reported to SW. Here is the SPR number "SPR #217790" for your records. I sent our VAR the applicable MS specifications to send to SW to correct this problem.

I hope this helps.

Best,
