Automatic layer with model name parameter

Automatic layer with model name parameter

(OP)
Hello,

I want from ProE to automaticaly create a layer with model name as a layer name, so I can manage parts visibility in asesembly mode.

Any idea how to do that?

Thanks, tomysux

RE: Automatic layer with model name parameter

Only a Pro/Toolkit program can do what you want.

Better than hide components in layers, use simplified representation or Component Display option. Hiding components in layers is like AutoCAD. If you have 300 components you may want to create 300 layers? Managing 300 layers will be a nightmare. Stay away from that. My advice.
