crosby size program

crosby size program

crosby size program

Hi!
Does anybody know any internet site where i can download a program for sizing safety-relief valves?
I mean a kind of valve selector.
I used to have a crosby size program, but its not working good.

Tanks!

RE: crosby size program

My suggestion, get any PSV manual and write a spreadsheet to do the sizing.  After you've created that, you will understand what goes into sizing a PSV for the various cases and how variations affect the sizing a lot more than punching numbers into a program.

Personally, I hate it when vendors can't give me the formulas how their equipment work but will send me a program that no one understands what is in it.

Tanks TD2K!
I know what feel about these vendor programs, actualy most of the vendors don't realy know the formulas to calculate a valve, because sometimes the manuals do not show the formulas.

In fact i'm looking for the crosby size program, not because of the calculations, but because of the internal tables of selection. I am in the meedle of a hollyday, and couldn't get my catalogs at the office, so i remember the program.

Anyway,
tanks for your help!

Anderson Greenwood and Crosby are both owned by Tyco's flow control division.  I could not find a link on their website to download their sizing program though I know they have one.

I'd try to find a local office and see if they can make a copy available for downloading or get what you want to you in another format.
