Note to follow a curve

Note to follow a curve

Note to follow a curve

Is there a way to get UG NX2 notes to follow a curve in drafting?

RE: Note to follow a curve

If you mean the text curving as a curve and not just following curve position, then no.

...at least not without a GRIP license or GRIP program.  You can also look into Wiedemann Engineering's True Type UG (http://www.w-eng.de).  It costs roughly $1000 for one license of True Type UG.  It CAN place text along a curve, but it uses True Type fonts.

Hope this helps.

RE: Note to follow a curve

I thought there was an old grip program that would do this.  I'll try to find it in my notes.

Question would be, will it still work if I find it?

RE: Note to follow a curve

There used to be one in the International GRIP library and it was called O-text (kinda why I mentioned GRIP program to begin with).

I can probably get my hands on it, but here's the link to it.  Not sure if the link will work unless you're a member of PLM World:

Again, it's called O-text.
