(OP)
I want to compare two contamination plumes and currently I am using the root mean square error. Does anyone have any suggestions on different ways of comparing the two plumes?
Thanks a lot!

RE: plume comparison

What is the contaminant plume?  One way to screen BTEX plumes to determine if they are from the same source is to compare the concentration ratios (i.e. B/T, B/E, etc.).  Plumes from the same source should have similar ratios and vice versa.
