Mulitple Exploded Views

Is there any way to create multiple exploded views for just one configuration?  It seems that you can't, but thought I would ask.  If not I'll submit an enhancement request.

RE: Mulitple Exploded Views

As far as I know you would have to make seperate configurations for each exploded view. If I may ask, Why do you need to exploded views in one configuration?

RE: Mulitple Exploded Views

I Don't need to - I could create another configuration, but it seems silly to have to create another configuration just to get another exploded view.  The other exploded view would be nice on larger assemblies - particularly when documenting them on drawings.  It is nice to show certain components exploded in one view and not the other - especially when there are a lot of components to explode.  If everyhting is exploded on one view then the drawing just gets too busy.  Since there is a method to do this using different configs, its not a big deal but again just seems wasteful to make another config.  Now I have 2 configs to manage instead of just one.

RE: Mulitple Exploded Views

Do you know that you can copy exploded views between each configuration.

First create a config that you will be coping the exploded view to. Then activate the config that has the exploded view attached to it. Hit the + next to the  config name to show the  exploded view. Highlight the exploded view and "drag and drop" into the new config and select the + next to the config name to expand and see the  copied exploded view.

hope this helps you in your process.

Yes, I knew that.

RE: Mulitple Exploded Views

You can add exploded views to derived configurations, as well.  This may help with organizing.
