Random model view changes

Random model view changes

I'm having a problem that is random when looking at a sketch or model of a part. The view will move all by itself. I can click on the top view button and let it sit in that oriention and at random intervals the view will shift out of that oriention by a few degrees. Has anyone seen this type of problem before?

RE: Random model view changes

I've seen that happen with the "zoom" function using a web wheel mouse.  Have you verified that it's not an issue with your mouse, or perhaps a sticky keyboard?

RE: Random model view changes

I'm not so sure that it could be the mouse or keyboard, because it will do this when i'm not even touching the mouse or keyboard.

RE: Random model view changes

Understood, but if the mouse or keyboard is "sticky," you won't need to be touching it.  Sometimes when I roll my web wheel on the mouse, it will keep zooming out in the SW view, even though I'm not touching the mouse anymore.

RE: Random model view changes

I've seen this happen with optical mice on mousepads that have a lot of white in their design.  If this is the case, simply use a different pad (or none at all).

RE: Random model view changes

I've also seen this with wired mice.  Adjust the mouse sensitivity, and it should go away.

Thanks for the suggestion ewh. I was using a light gray mousepad. Now that I stopped using that mousepad it hasen't happened.
