Solidworks rummaging thru Outlook address book ?

Solidworks rummaging thru Outlook address book ?

Solidworks rummaging thru Outlook address book ?

(OP)
Last week when I opened Solidworks an Outlook messge popped up saying "a progam" was trying to access e-mail addresses stored in Outlook.  It asks if I want to allow it, and suggests if it is "unexpected" it might be a virus, and I should choose [no], which I do.

Is this a known activity, or the sign of a problem?

Thanks,

Dan T

You probably have your Performance email enabled. Un-enable it by going to Tools\Options\System Options\General\"Enable Performance email" and unchecking that option.

Scott's right.  It is the performance email.  I leave it on, in the interest of helping to improve SW.

I guess that must make you a spammer, during beta testing?
