Sweep section or guide curves are ambiguous

Sweep section or guide curves are ambiguous

Sweep section or guide curves are ambiguous

(OP)
Hi All
When trying to extrude a sketch I get the above error message.
Any idea why?

Dave

RE: Sweep section or guide curves are ambiguous

How are you extruding; i.e. vector direction, until a face, etc.?

Describe your sketch...is it an open string, closed string, contain splines, fully constrained?  Did you import the curves & add them to a sketch?  Did you create the curves in sketcher or add them to sketcher after importing or creating in Modeling?

I've only seen that message when curves are not completely lying on the same plane, like if you imported some curves that were all connected in Autocad, & tried to use them in UG without 'cleaning' them up a bit (redefine fillets, re-trim corners, etc.).  Or if some of the curves laid flat on their creation plane & others were a bit skewed.

RE: Sweep section or guide curves are ambiguous

I would say that you have curves overlapping each other. Check so each joint just have one point.
