WWTP Sludge Disposal Contract

WWTP Sludge Disposal Contract

WWTP Sludge Disposal Contract

(OP)
I need to prepare bid specifications for the contract transport and disposal of municipal sewage sludge.  I intend to structure the bid such that the sludge can be disposed of as liquid or cake.

I am looking for specifications/contracts that other municipalities have used as a basis for developing my own.  Any other helpful hits, lessons learned, advice would be appreciated.

RE: WWTP Sludge Disposal Contract

SanEnr1, The first place to start is to get the sludge characterised. Is it hazardous or non-hazardous? And if hazardous, what are the hazardous components-concentrations. Are the pathogen levels high enough so that it cannot be used in land application? Once these types of questions are answered, you can determine transport/disposal requirements.

Hope this helps.

Understood.  I have this information available, but did not post specifics as I am just looking for sample contracts.  I will build my own specification based upon the characteristics of my sludge, but am looking for some samples.
