Anybody know of an adhesive to adhere a silica surface to either polyethylene, polyurethane, or aluminium foil?

I'm currently looking through the major manufacturers for products, but if anyone knows of anything - that'd be helpful.

Thanks,

Ian

RE: adhesive for various surfaces

Come back with a little more information on the meaning of "silica".

Are you talking about an elastomer or a refractory?

RE: adhesive for various surfaces

Scotchweld 3M Y966 should do.

This particular silica is used in an insulation panel - so I'd say its a refractory - though its to be used for freezing conditions.  The panels aren't exactly elastic as I'd define them so thats why I'm saying refractory...unless my definition is wrong.

Thanks for the suggestion franck.

I'll have a look.  The 3M website seems to have a good layout of data sheets, which is very handy.

MaterBond has a new adhesive for polyolefins "X-17".   I don't see it on their website so I would contact them.
