Volume of part needed in part equations

Volume of part needed in part equations

Volume of part needed in part equations

(OP)
I have a complex part with many branches in the history tree. Is it possible to get the volume of the part to be displayed in the part equations window without actually entering the equation for the volume. ie. can it be taken from the properties of the part?

I need the volume to solve another equation.

Cheers
SB

RE: Volume of part needed in part equations

This is just an opinion as I don't "know" the answer.

I would think not, as the volume doesn't seem to be an attribute that is kept within the part. What I mean by that is that when you query Physical Properties for the volume, the value isn't there instantly, you have to select calculate and it will go ahead and calculate the volume for the part at that moment in time.
