Re-attach a detached drawing

(OP)
Guys ... can anyone please tell me the best way to re-attach a detached drawing so that it acts as a normal drawing file with all the references and so that I can right-click on the assemblyin a view and open the assembly file.

Thanks
regards
vik

RE: Re-attach a detached drawing

SW05 you can RMB the Sheet Format and click Load model. It then loads the model. Then you must re-save the drawing.

Thanks a lot Scott, but can we do it in Solidworks 2004.  What can be done in Solidworks 2004. I would highly appreciate your response.

RE: Re-attach a detached drawing

Have you tried this same type of method in SW04? I would try the same thing as I just did in SW05.

Sorry about being such a fool, I should have tried it and yes sir it does work in SOlidworks 2004 as well. You just have to load the model by right clicking one of the views in the Design tree and then saving as a drawing (not detached one this time) and it is fine.

Thanks a lot Scott !
