i think i'm going to give up make my own. who's a good supplier of chip attenuators, 2 watts, 0-20ghz? 1db, 6db, etc

thanks,

RE: suppliers of thin film attenuators

You don't specify the application.  Is this for surface mount or installation in a coaxial type attenuator?

Have you tried EMC?

From their website:

EMC Technology’s attenuators are available in a low power chip package. The power ratings range from 0.1 to 2 watts. The attenuation values range from 1 dB to 20 dB. The terminals of EMC chip attenuators are made with thick film base material that is nickel plated and solder coated (Lead free version are available). The resistive element is thin film offering superior electrical performance.

I have had Micrometrics (Londonderry NH) make them for me

Good luck
